FLYING TIGER COPENHAGEN HAS ALREADY COLLECTED over 427,000 PLASTIC BOTTLES FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA, ADDING UP TO MORE THAN 2,700 KG OF CollecteD PLASTIC.
Flying Tiger Copenhagen launched last July a collection of 3 bags made from recycled plastic, with which for every bag they sell they clean plastic from the sea joining forces with Gravity Wave.
This collaboration aims to clean more than 250,000 half-litre plastic bottles from the Mediterranean Sea, the equivalent of 2,500 kilos of plastic.
This great initiative is a clear example of the path that pioneering and benchmark companies like Flying Tiger Copenhagen choose to follow, contributing to causes with an environmental impact and involving their customers in the process.

Climate change has become one of the most important social issues in society today, and integrating sustainability strategies into the business model of companies is indispensable.
But we cannot talk about climate change without talking about the seas and oceans, we cannot even talk about greenhouse gases and offsetting the carbon footprint, as between 50 and 80% of the oxygen generated on the planet comes from the oceans and they are also responsible for absorbing +30% of the world’s CO2.
Without healthy seas, the planet would not be inhabitable, but unfortunately, we have turned them into the planet’s dumping ground. We dump more than 8 million tonnes of plastic into them every year and the consequences can no longer be denied.
From the already infamous rubbish islands to the more than 1,000,000 marine animals that die every year as a direct consequence of plastic.

At Gravity Wave, we know that we cannot achieve our goal of cleaning every last kilo of plastic from the sea by ourselves. We know that the only way to achieve the impact we want is through partnerships with companies and organisations that share our purpose and vision, as in this case Flying Tiger.
