ISDIN x Gravity Wave:500,000 kilos of plastic recovered in 3 years.

Challenge: the threat of plastic in seas and ports

Every day, tons of plastic invade our oceans. They don’t disappear, they break down into microplastics that spread through the water, harm marine life, and disrupt the balance of the ecosystem.

The Mediterranean, the most polluted sea on the planet, is one of the most affected areas.

At Gravity Wave, we work to reverse this reality by recovering plastic from the sea, ports, and rivers, and transforming it into new materials.

And in 2022, ISDIN decided to join our mission, understanding that caring for the sea is also part of caring for people.

Solution: a commitment that creates positive impact

From the very beginning, ISDIN implemented a tangible and measurable sustainability model, making the recovery of the Mediterranean a central part of its environmental strategy.

Our collaboration is built on two pillars:

• Continuous recovery of plastic from the Mediterranean Sea and its ports, with a focus on giving new value to every material collected by transforming it into useful and sustainable products.

• Linking this action to their Fusion Water Magic product, a sunscreen that not only protects the skin but also the planet. Through the sales of Fusion Water Magic, we have been able to collect 500,000 kg of plastic over the past three years.

This partnership shows that when innovation and sustainability row in the same direction, impact multiplies.

Evolution of the commitment

2022–2023: We launched the partnership with the goal of recovering 65 tons of plastic, which we later transformed into various decorative products for offices and events.

2023–2024: ISDIN and Gravity Wave renewed their partnership, this time with a much more ambitious target: collecting 200,000 kg of plastic in a single year.

2024–2025: Milestone achieved. ISDIN reaches 500 tons of plastic recovered, reinforcing its commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable Mediterranean.

2025–2026: Stay tuned.

Impact: real results for a cleaner sea

This project has not only prevented hundreds of thousands of kilos of plastic from continuing to pollute the sea, it has also transformed waste into value — and action into awareness.

500,000 kg of plastic recovered from the Mediterranean to date.

Environmental awareness and education, bringing the issue of plastic pollution closer to companies, communities, and consumers.

Each ton removed represents a cleaner sea, a more conscious community, and a company choosing to act with purpose.

At Gravity Wave, we know that real change is built through concrete actions and sustained commitment. Together with ISDIN, we are achieving measurable, traceable results that are helping transform the reality of the Mediterranean.
